The VPC is the next of technology in automatic pressure filters. These filters do not open and close, the frame remains stationary during the filtering process thus minimizing the amount of moving parts. The VPC filter utilizes a pressurized filter chamber by inflating the air filled side and ends seals to seal the filter chamber. This pressurized chamber forces the liquid through the filtering media and allows for a cake to form. This enclosed pressurized chamber also minimizes potential leaks, which will increase plant hygiene and personnel safety. The VPC has horizontal filter chambers that allow for cakes to form evenly, maximizing removal and operating efficiencies. This horizontal design also enables multiple pressure filters to be stacked on top of the other, thus resulting in less of a footprint. In multiple chamber situations, chambers operate independently and can be isolated to maximize run times. In wastewater applications, the VPC is typically constructed out of 304 stainless steel.
