Flow Requirements and Single-Bag Versus Multi-Bag Filtration Systems

Filtra-Systems has almost 40 years of experience in the industrial filtration industry. We take pride in our ability to identify the needs of our clients and provide the product that will best fit their needs. Like all of our products, we have a wide variety of bag filter housing options for our clients depending on their needs.

These bag filters have been used in a variety of filtration systems, including cooling tower water, brewing, injection water, biodiesel production, coolant filtration, remediation sites, and RO protection.

Which option, a single bag filter or a multi-bag filter, will work best for you?

A multi-bag filtration system offers a variety of advantages including higher flow rates and less downtime for bag changes. For example, FSSB multi-bag filter housings are available for flow rates up to 1200 gpm, and FSQC housings can process flow rates as high as 2300 gpm. A low profile provides easy access and spring balanced lids can be opened with one hand.

There are multiple advantages to a single bag filter as well. The simpler design keeps the investment lower than a multi-bag filter. A v-clamp cover closure makes changing bags fast and easy, and tools are not needed.

Our proprietary bag clamping mechanism guarantees that our bags will be properly sealed and the housing accepts both standard or pleated bags.

Electropolished stainless steel housings are easy to clean and maintain.

We have a large inventory of single-bag housings, and cartridge filters are also available to meet your immediate needs.

Choosing the proper bag and cartridge filter can sometimes be complicated, so, when you have questions about these bag or cartridge filter housings, contact our team of experienced applications engineers, who will review your process and help you with a few strategies and options.
