Dissolved Air Flotation Systems & Equipment
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems and equipment use a separation or clarification process to remove suspended solids, grease, or oils from a solution by injecting air into the liquid stream.
These microbubbles attach to solids lifting them to the top of the tank where they can be removed by a surface skimming conveyor.
Description
The Filtra-Systems Dissolved Air Flotation Systems and Equipment are an engineered product that fits within our industrial water treatment product line.
Dissolved Air Flotation Products give you a proven simple solution to remove solids, at a high rate, even in a small footprint.
These DAF Systems have several options including variable conveyors with plate settlers designed for maximum removal.
Operation
Your fluids enter the DAF system through a connection located on the tank that controls the flow rate of the incoming solution.
At this connection, pressurized air is injected into the fluid stream creating the dissolved air. These microbubbles begin to form in the fluid once in the atmospheric tank.
Microbubbles travel to the top of the tank providing a path to float the solids to the top of the tank where a continuous running chain and flight conveyor pull the sludge from the top and place it into a hopper.
Product Range
Filtra-Systems offers a full line of engineered DAF equipment, products, and systems as well as industrial wastewater treatment support components.
Features & Benefits
The biggest advantage of DAF equipment clarifiers is their ability to treat a wide range of suspended solids in water at a high rate of solids removal and are perfect for wastewater sludge thickening.
DAF Systems will treat large volumes and can also be used as a support component in other process trains to meet additional filtration requirements.
Industry Applications
Our Dissolved Air Flotation Systems can be used in a variety of different applications including:
